The town is named after former vice president Levi Parson Morton. In the 1890s, Morton Grove was known for its greenhouses and was even home to the world’s largest floral business. The village continued to grow into the 20th century and continues to grow today with its suburban offerings and easy commute to the city.

The Morton Grove Park District homes many of these festivals but also provides opportunities every day. This park provides many trails with a more in-depth look into nature and houses several aquatic programs and camps during all seasons.
